Belton Maternity Session

I love this beautiful couple.  Not only were they a ton of fun to just walk and talk with, Mom-to-be was game for hiking the trail at Chalkridge Falls for this beautiful session.  I’m not sure I was willing to walk more than from the couch to the fridge in my last trimester!  I also love she chose this teal shirt, which give the photos are great pop of color.  They are going to sparkle when printed on metallic paper.

Even though she’s not due for another couple of months, I know their baby boy will be gorgeous and the camera will love him, which is a good thing because his mom and his grandma love photos. (Mom already has plans on how to display his newborn portraits in his nursery.)

She’s having a baby! Bear Creek Maternity Photographer

One of the great things about being stationed close to home is being able to do this session.  The mom-to-be is one of my best friends from high school.  She’s one of the few people that I can go years without talking to but when we can get together, we pick right up where we left off.  She’s your typical sweetheart Southern girl and that baby bump makes her even more adorable.  I can’t wait to meet their little boy at then end of the month (or October if he decides to be fashionably late).

Thanks Stacey and Sean!  Hope you enjoy your pictures!

Sneak Peek for D Family: Harker Heights Family Photographer

This has been a whirlwind!  Just over two weeks ago, M posted on our local mom forum searching for a photographer to photograph Baby M’s birth.  Photographing a birth has been on my bucket list for the longest time so I responded and was over-the-moon excited and honor for her to choose me.  We set up a last  minute maternity session (by the way, aren’t you jealous at how fabulous she looks to be just days away from giving birth?).  A few days later, I met her at Women’s hospital to await the arrival of Baby M.  Christmas and snow delayed the newborn session but I saw them again when Baby M was 9 days old.  So it’s only been a couple weeks since I first spoke to M.

I do have to say I loved this family.  The kids are great and M is so easy to talk to.    We’re like minded and our kids are pretty similar so it was another great session that felt like home to me.

The coolest co-sleeping bed I have ever seen.

Baby M gave me the most eye contact I’ve ever gotten from a newborn.  I have two pictures of her staring at the camera while in the hospital.

Baby toes…. is there anything sweeter?

Big sister is completely in love with her little sister.

Thanks D family for allowing me to photograph your family!  Enjoy your pictures!
