What Is a Mini Session Week?
Mini Session Weeks happen during one dedicated week each month at the studio and are designed to be short, focused, and fun. Each session features one planned setup and a limited number of appointments, which keeps things moving smoothly and on time — without sucking the personality out of it.
These are the sessions where themes shine. Valentine’s Day sweetness, Easter Bunny excitement, back-to-school energy, Halloween costumes, and other playful ideas that change throughout the year all live here. Some themes are sweet, some are silly, some are a little nostalgic, and a few are just plain fun. The common thread is that they’re thoughtfully planned so they never feel rushed or chaotic.
Mini Session Weeks are a great fit if you like the theme, want a quick, guided experience, and are happy to lean into the fun. They’re not designed for multiple outfit changes, extended family groups, or custom locations. If you’re looking for more flexibility or something fully personalized, custom portrait sessions are available year-round by inquiry.
Everything You Need To Know
1. Book Your Session
Choose your time online, complete the agreement, and submit the session fee. You’ll receive a prep guide so you know exactly what to expect before photo day.
2. Choose Your Favorites
The Monday after Mini Session Week, you’ll receive a proofing gallery with around 15 unedited images. Select and purchase the digital images you love.
3. Final Images & Prints
Your purchased images are fully edited and delivered within one week in a final gallery. From there, you can download your digital files and order professionally printed artwork, shipped straight to your door.
The Mini Session Week session fee is $49.
This reserves your time and includes access to your online proofing gallery. Digital images and printed products are purchased separately.
After your session, you’ll choose how you’d like to enjoy your images.
Digital images may be purchased individually, or as a full gallery. Quick Take Collections, which include digital images plus print credit, range from $159–$649.
Most families choose a collection that fits how they plan to use their photos, whether that’s sharing digitally, adding framed pieces to their home, or both.

How long is a Mini Session?
Mini Sessions are 15 minutes. Just enough time to get great photos, not enough time for kids to get bored.
How many people can be photographed?
Mini Session Weeks are designed for immediate family only. Keeping groups small helps everything stay fun and on schedule.
Can we do outfit changes?
Mini sessions are planned for one outfit. Simple outfits, happy kids, smoother sessions.
What if my child is shy, silly, or not in the mood?
Totally normal, especially with themed sessions. I’ll guide things as we go, and some of the best photos happen once kids relax and lean into the fun.
Can we bring pets?
Yes. Pets are always welcome. Just let me know who’s coming so I can plan accordingly.
What if we’re running late?
Mini Session Weeks run back-to-back, so arriving on time is important. Late arrivals may mean a shorter session, depending on the schedule that day.
Can we reschedule if something comes up?
Mini Session Weeks are offered on specific dates and can’t be rescheduled. If someone is sick, please reach out as soon as possible so we can talk through next steps.
Is the session fee refundable?
Session fees are non-refundable and hold your appointment time for that Mini Session Week.
What if I don’t see a Mini Session Week that works for me?
Custom portrait sessions are available year-round and offer more flexibility with timing, locations, and session length.
