Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Whether this is your first or fourth pregnancy, a maternity portrait session will capture the excitement and beauty of your last trimester. Don’t let this time slip by. Baby will be in your arms soon and you’ll miss feeling the little kicks and hiccups.
How many weeks pregnant is best for maternity portraits?
34-36 weeks. You’ll look stunning and have energy for the photo session. Plus you’ll be able to view your photos before Baby comes!
We suggest calling the studio by 30 weeks pregnant to allow time for your consultation.
Is my partner, other children, or pet allowed at the session?
Of course! The new baby is going to charge all of your lives. Let’s capture your relationships as they are right now.
Do you retouch stretchmarks?
I believe every woman I meet is beautiful but I understand being self-conscious during pregnancy. From weight gain to stretchmarks, your body is changing and if you’d like to hide the evidence, I’ll happily retouch stretchmarks and do a little niptuck. It’ll be our secret.
What is the Katie Smith Photography portrait experience?
It all starts with a conversation over a cup of coffee. We talk about you, your baby, and how we can capture your pregnancy in a way that is true to who you are.
Your portrait session is an hour long at your choice of location. During this session, I’ll guide you to picture perfect poses that transition to beautiful moments with the ones you love.
Within a week of your session, we’ll meet at my office where you’ll be able to order the images that speak to your heart. From framed prints to our heirloom album, you’ll be able to decide if your portraits are to be enjoyed by house guests or kept as a private memento.
What’s a print deposit?
To book your session, we require a $300 print deposit. The entire deposit will be applied towards your portrait purchase. Most clients spend $500-800 on their maternity portraits.
Your print deposit is 100% happiness guaranteed. If you don’t love your images, we’ll reshoot or refund your print deposit.
